The dB’s have released the new single, “Revolution of the Mind” as a free download in support of OccupyWallStreet.

The reunited foursome, Peter Holsapple, Gene Holder, Will Rigby, Chris Stamey, recorded the non-album track Revolution Of The Mind (which includes “revolutionary guitar” by Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo and background vocals by Django Haskins of the Old Ceremony) during sessions for their 2012′s new full length “Falling Off the Sky,” it features 12 new songs produced by the band, with additional production by Scott Litt and Mitch Easter.

The song ‘He Needs Me’ was written by Harry Nilsson for Robert Altman’s 1980 film “Popeye,” film score by Van Dyke Parks. Also it was featured years later in Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2002 film “Punch-Drunk Love.”

This is a non commercial video for Experimenta Design 2011 made by Caoceito Design, Moopie and Burdman.

‘Doughnut’ was originally appeared on the Parenthetical Girls‘ “The Scottish Play: Wherein The Group Parenthetical Girls Pay Well-Intentioned [If Occasionally Misguided] Tribute To The Works Of Ivor Cutler” (Tomlab/2009), featuring Parenthetical adaptations of four songs and four prose poems from across the dense Cutler discography. Package designed by David Shrigley.

Both tracks are taken from the new full-length “Impossible Spaces,” Sandro Perri’s long-awaited follow-up to his 2007 LP “Tiny Mirrors”. “Impossible Spaces” comes out today from Constellation.

Sandro Perri is a music maker from Toronto, Canada. Within the broad spectrum of his work are variations on new song, folk, electronic, dance, minimalism, jazz and rock. He has released more than a dozen solo and collaborative releases under his given name as well as Polmo Polpo, Glissandro 70, Dot Wiggin and Continuous Dick.
