All recordings above are taken from Natch 2 – Dave Shuford and Margot Bianca (from D. Charles Speer & the Helix), and Wednesday Knudsen and Clark Griffin (from Pigeons). Recorded and mixed at Black Dirt Studio, February 13 – 14, 2012, mastered by Patrick Klem. “NATCH” is a series of collaborative recordings from Westtown, NY’s Black Dirt Studio. With the new record comes a new line-up: Pigeons (Wednesday Knudsen and Clark Griffin) have expanded to a four-piece for performances, anchored by Jason Meagher on bass and Nathan Bowles on drums.

‘Chances’ is taken from Bronx, NY-based Pigeons‘ latest full-length LP “They Sweethearstammers,” available on Soft Abuse

Directed by Brooklyn-based video artist Amy Ruhl, her new animated short “How Mata Hari Lost Her Head and Found Her Body” features songs written by Julian Lynch. “Music for How Mata Hari Lost Her Head and Found Her Body” (7″/MP3) is available from Soft Abuse on October 4th, or it can be purchased from Julian’s bandcamp.

Dusty psych pop ‘The Postcard’ is taken from the new 7″ single “Visions of the Valley” by Pigeons, the duo from Bronx, NY, in conjunction with their 2010 US tour, in an edition of 200 with hand-printed sleeves, out now on Soft Abuse It was recorded by themselves (Wednesday Knudsen and Clark Griffin) in Bronx and in Paris (during their brief relocation).  And ‘Race’ is taken from the duo’s forthcoming full length LP “Liasons” which is due out on November 16th on Soft Abuse.

Pigeons is the duo of Wednesday Knudsen and Clark Griffin, from Bronx, NY.  ‘Tendresse’ is taken from ‘Lunettes‘ 7″ via Soft Abuse, ‘en rêve’ is taken from The Curatorial Club Cassette Series #6 (Chocolate Bobka‘s Cassette Label), including new songs and Mark Bolan’s “Life’s A Gas”, Dwight Twilley’s “Looking for the Magic” and Jimmy Page and Del Shannon’s “In My Time of Sorrow”, and its B-side includes a live set and showcases songs from their latest LP “Si Faustine” (available now via Olde English Spelling Bee), and the upcoming LP “Liasons” is due out in October 2010 via Soft Abuse.
